Simple Cabled Belt

This pattern is knitted flat with a horseshoe cable in the center, framed by a 3 stitch purl border. For a more tapered beginning you could knit 3 plain rows after each increase row instead of 2. This pattern allows for a pretty long belt but you can knit it as long as you like, just skip to step 32 whenever you are ready.

 Materials:
● Worsted yarn
● Size 6 needles (4mm)
● Tapestry needle
● Cable needle
● 2” Belt Buckle

Abbreviations:

● M1 - Make one (pick up the bar between the stitch you’ve just knit and the stitch you’re about to knit and knit it as an extra stitch - see this instructional video from ‘Bernat Yarns’ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E31Il_LeKs4 )

● C4B - Cable 4 stitches to the back (slide 2 sts onto cable needle and hold in the back of the work while you work the next 2 sts on the row. Then slide the needles from the cable needle back onto the left needle and knit them both - see this instructional video from ‘New Stitch a Day: Knitting and Crochet Video Tutorials’ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJly6LeqLts )

● C4F - Cable 4 stitches to the front (Same as C4B but hold the sts on the cable needle in front of the work instead of in the back)
